Natalia Astrain / Former Head Coach for the FC Barcelona Women's Senior Team

Coach Natalia Astrain is one Europe’s top women’s coaches and educators and has helped pave way for the women’s game in Spain and also for female coaches in Europe.  Coach Astrain was the first ever female to receive her UEFA PRO license and the first female instructor for the Catalan Futbol Federation on the prestigious Trainers Committee.  She has found success as a coach at every level in top flight Spanish football.  From 2002 – 2006, Coach Astrain was the head coach for the FC Barcelona Women’s Senior Team as well as the technical director for the female academy.  She then became the head coach at Club Levante Las Plabas and then later became the assistant coach for Atletico de Madrid Women’s Senior Team.  Coach Astrain is currently the Director at Rise SC and also works with US Soccer as well.

“The Florida Soccer School is extremely proud to have Coach Astrain join us for our International Coaching Symposium.  She has coached at some of the biggest clubs in the world and formerly was an instructor of coaches in Spain.  She is a wonderful person and one that I think our participants will really enjoy listening to.  We cannot be more excited and are looking forward to hearing her share her football experiences this August.”    — Fred Dikranian, International Coaching Symposium
